Here is a Portuguese currency that was issued in Macau as a special territory of Portugal on the 8th of July 1991. The coat of arms of Portugal was replaced with BNU's logo in this new series of banknote. It bears the signature of João António Morais da Costa Pinto (Governor) and Abílio do Nascimento Martins Dengucho (Director-General of the Macau Branch). Printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co., Ltd. London and authorised by Decree-Law No. 40/91/M, July 8th.
